Our Artists Jacqui and Jane visited LGI to deliver a workshop with Children who were visiting the Day Unit. In the afternoon our Artists visited Children who were on the Children’s Ward.
The Children had lots of fun making Mother’s Day Cards, depicting colourful Blossoms, this was achieved by using broken branches, scrunched up tissue paper, paper butterflies , grass and cut out flowers and stems. There was also a lot of glitter used, the highlight for the Children. Jane stated that the Children wanted to put glitter on everything, what’s not to like about glitter! The Children on the ward also used lollipop stars to wrap with wool and decorate with pompoms, these were suspended above their beds on the Ward to brighten up their surroundings. Here is an example of the lovely Cards that were produced.
