Our wonderful artist Lizzie went in to Sheffield Children’s Hospital to provide a very special workshop, here’s what she said about it:-
“The Children’s hospital asked for a painting workshop . Myself being a painter 👩🎨 I went to it. I wanted to choose something which all little ones to tackle . The idea came from Daniels woods painting. I decided to do a painting to depict a snowy forest scene. We used a limited palette and various tools acrylic paint with various tools : acrylic paintbrushes, cotton buds, wooden coffee stirrers, scrunched kitchen roll to scrub paint with, and blue purple white turquoise royal blue and black acrylic paint . The results were fantastic. Mums painted with their children. I worked next to their beds with great interest from the hospital nursing staff . Will be looking forward to taking my paints again”😊
Well done to all the children, the paintings look beautiful!
