The Children of Class 2e reproduced Daniel’s painting of trees using their own interpretation. Daniel was a former pupil of Badsley Moor Lane Primary, his artwork was used to inspire budding new artists. Badsley Primary donated a cheque to DBAF for a staggering £550. The proud Children are pictured in front of their amazing artwork with Di (Daniel’s Mum and founder of DBAF) Badsley Primary is an invaluable support to our Charity, we value our relationship with the School. We are proud to be sponsoring music lessons for the second year running to Badsley Primary, and we hope that we can do so for many more years to come.
Here is a commentary of how the Children created their Masterpieces. ( as told by Mr Windle) Deputy Head.
“As part of our Muck, Messes and Mixtures Learning project we investigated adding different materials to paint and looked at the different effects that we could create with them. PVA glue, oats, sand, salt, vegetable oil and glitter were just a few of the materials that we added to the paint.
We then looked at the Daniel Barnett painting of the trees and discussed which effects would be best for the different parts of the painting.
The children used layers of different coloured tissue paper to create the background and then they used the different paint effects to create the main image.
The children had lots of fun creating their paintings and were very proud of the end results”.
Fantastic results. Well done Class 2e!
