Em is an illustrator and wall artist with a first class honours art degree from Sheffield Hallam University. She has over 15 years experience working with children aged 4-7, this includes teaching full classes and providing specialised art training. Em also has experience working in an art environment with young adults aged 11-18, this includes facilitating art workshops. She has provided art workshops and therapy sessions for bereaved parents, siblings and also children having treatment on Oncology wards.
Em’s daughter died in May 2011 from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. This devastated her family, slowly Em started using art as a healing tool. In 2014 she embarked on a full time three year art degree. It hasn’t been an easy time, but her determination and passion enabled her to achieve a first class honours. Her finished degree show piece was influenced by her daughters genetic mutations, the cancer and the lack of control of the situation.
Emma is now an invaluable member of our creative team and we couldn’t be happier to have her with us.
